product description

Senecio rowleyanus (Green Bell) is a perennial succulent native to South Africa and southern Namibia. It is often called "String of Pearls" or "Green Bell". The plant has long, vertical stems lined with round, pea-shaped leaves that give it the appearance of a string of beads or pearls. The leaves are green with small pointed ends. The plant blooms between September and December, producing small white flowers.

Senecio rowleyanus is a low-maintenance plant that needs bright, indirect light and well-drained soil. It is drought tolerant and should be watered moderately, allowing the soil to dry completely between waterings. Overwatering can cause the "pearls" to burst. It can be grown indoors and outdoors in pots or hanging baskets. In terms of reproduction, Senecio rowleyanus is easily propagated by stem cuttings. Simply use a clean sharp knife to cut a segment of the stem from the plant, allow it to dry and heal for a day or two, and then plant it in a well-drained cactus and succulent soil mixture.
